Guinness World Record for world’s smallest arcade machine

The World’s Smallest Video Arcade Machine Makes a Big Splash

Breaking records in London, the world’s smallest video arcade machine has officially entered the Guinness Book of World Records. This tiny marvel was created by a talented student from Fanshawe College, showcasing innovation and creativity at its finest.

Victoria Korhonen, the mastermind behind this miniature arcade machine, drew inspiration from the classic game Pong by Atari. Standing at a mere 63.5 millimetres tall and 27.9 millimetres wide, her creation is a true testament to precision and skill.

Despite its small size, the micro arcade machine is fully functional and offers a one-player gaming experience reminiscent of the original Pong game. With tiny buttons for controls, players can enjoy a nostalgic gameplay experience on a minuscule screen.

While the design and gameplay are impressive, what truly sets this tiny arcade machine apart is its Guinness World Record status. Fanshawe College enlisted the expertise of a civil engineering professor to ensure that all requirements were met for the record attempt.

After a series of meticulous checks and measurements, Victoria Korhonen was thrilled to receive confirmation of her record-breaking achievement. The crowd erupted in cheers as she marveled at the results, exclaiming, “Oh my Goodnews!”

Looking ahead, Korhonen has ambitious goals for future Guinness records, including creating the smallest humanoid robot. With a proven track record of innovation, she aspires to one day work on animatronic characters for Disney.

As for her miniature arcade machine, which lacks a traditional coin slot, Korhonen sees potential for marketing her creation to enthusiasts. Despite its size, she humorously notes that there is a “micro spot for a mini quarter to go in.”
