Shedeur Sanders expresses confidence in Colorado

Former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders remains confident in his former collegiate team despite their first loss of the season against Georgia Tech. The Buffaloes fell to the Yellow Jackets, 27-20, with Haynes King leading a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter, scoring on a 45-yard run with just over a minute left. Unfortunately, Colorado was unable to respond with a tying touchdown in the closing moments.
This was the team’s first game without Sanders and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, both of whom entered the NFL Draft after the previous season. Sanders, however, expressed faith in the team’s ability to bounce back, especially with his father, Deion Sanders, at the helm as head coach.
“They’ll figure things out. They have a great head coach,” Sanders stated confidently.
Deion Sanders, who has coached his son throughout his collegiate career, named Kaidon Salter as the starting quarterback for the season opener. Salter posted 159 passing yards and connected with Dekalon Taylor for a touchdown in the loss. Despite the setback, Sanders reiterated his belief that the team will overcome this challenge.
“We could’ve won the game. It’s not like we had our butts kicked,” Sanders remarked. “If we take advantage of the opportunities, I have a whole different mood up here right now.”
While the Buffaloes may have fallen short in their matchup against Georgia Tech, Shedeur Sanders remains optimistic about their future success under the leadership of “Coach Prime.” As they regroup and prepare for their next game, the team looks to learn from this defeat and come back stronger than ever.
