Six people charged with drug trafficking in North Kentville, N.S.

KENTVILLE, N.S. — Four men and two women have been charged with drug trafficking after a search of a North Kentville home yielded several types of narcotics

Members of several police forces assisted in executing a search warrant at a home on Mee Road on Nov. 10, seizing cocaine, magic mushrooms, methamphetamine, scales, cash and mobile phones.

Officers arrested Laura Llewellyn, 39, of North Kentville, Reece Jones, 24, of New Minas, Christopher Mackenzie, 47, of Canning, Danielle Smith, 41, of Gypsum Mines, Douglas Upshaw, 34, of Ardoise and Allen Mahaney, 57, of Kentville.

All six have been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Each was released on conditions and will appear in Kentville provincial court on Jan. 24, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
