Shaquille O’Neal claims Blue Origin’s all-female space flight was staged

Basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal recently shared his thoughts on the Blue Origin space flight, founded by Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, during a conversation with comedian David Spade. O’Neal, a four-time NBA champion, raised doubts about the authenticity of the all-female crew space mission, suggesting that it may have been staged.

The high-profile Blue Origin flight included celebrities like Katy Perry, Gayle King, and NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, among others. O’Neal specifically pointed out discrepancies in a video released by Blue Origin, questioning the lack of movement in the crew members’ hair and the already-opened hatch upon landing.

“I think there was some green screen involvement there. That’s one. No. 2, their hair was luxurious in space. Katy Perry’s hair didn’t move. Laura’s hair didn’t move. Nobody’s hair moved. Then I saw when they landed Jeff had the special key, but it was already open. So, I’m going to go Universal Studios green screen on this one,” O’Neal commented.

Despite O’Neal’s skepticism, Blue Origin has not yet responded to requests for comment on the matter. The star-studded space mission lasted 10 minutes and 21 seconds, with Perry describing the experience as second only to being a mother.

The event was attended by several celebrities, including Oprah, who is a close friend of Gayle King. Perry expressed the difficulty of leaving her daughter to embark on the space journey but ultimately trusted in the universe to keep her safe.

Fox News Digital reached out to Blue Origin for further clarification but has not received a response at this time. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
