Traveling this summer? Here’s how to achieve your fitness goals
Now that the summer season is officially here, many Canadians are probably preparing to travel in the coming months. But sticking to an exercise routine during your summer travels can be tough.
Andrea Tam, CEO and head trainer at Tamfit Canada, says a healthy lifestyle is possible for everyone. The secret? Movable fitness equipment.
The fitness expert shared six pieces of fitness equipment that are easy to carry around on CTV’s Your Morning on Monday. Her first suggestion involves packing the right footwear.
“You can’t forget your running shoes. Whether you’re going to the cottage for the weekend or heading to a hotel, running shoes are great for running, walking, hiking, or just getting outside,” she said.
Her other recommendations include bringing a jump rope for cardio, resistance bands for muscle training, and ankle weights.
“All of these types of gear are really easy to travel with, especially if you’re going local. Throw them in the back of the car, put them in there [your] luggage and you can… get a full body workout,” she said.
