Wife of murdered Minnesota pastor hired 3 men to kill husband after affair: police

Beau Shroyer, 44, a former pastor of Lakes Area Vineyard Church, was found stabbed to death in the African country on Oct. 25. His wife Jackie was arrested in connection with his death, and now police in Angola have arrested two of the alleged hitmen, while a third is on the run.

According to the Angolan Criminal Investigation Service, Jackie was having an affair with Bernadino Elias, 24, the security guard at the family’s home. She was upset that the family’s mission was ending and didn’t want to leave. In a chilling plot, she paid the trio, all with prior criminal records, $50,000 to kill her husband.

The three men lured Beau to a remote area in the town of Thienjo, Palanca, by pretending their car had broken down. When Beau arrived in his jeep, they stabbed him to death. Police recovered an American-made knife, gifted to Elias, at the scene.

The motives for the crime were suspected to be a romantic relationship between Jackie and Elias, the guard at the couple’s residence, according to the report from The Angola Press Agency.

Beau and his family had moved to Angola in 2021 to become missionaries. He was described as a selfless and caring individual who went above and beyond for his clients, both in his previous work in real estate and in his missionary endeavors.
