Ex-NFL lineman Taylor Lewan throws disastrous first pitch at Cardinals game

Former NFL offensive lineman Taylor Lewan recently had the opportunity to throw the ceremonial first pitch at a St. Louis Cardinals game, but it didn’t quite go as planned. The southpaw, who played for the Tennessee Titans for nine seasons, found himself in a bit of a predicament when his pitch fell far short of home plate, landing closer to the first-base on-deck circle instead.
Despite the disappointment, Lewan took responsibility for the wayward throw and even punished himself with some pushups in frustration. He jokingly referred to it as the “worst day” of his athletic career, including a reference to a particularly rough game against Chandler Jones.
Lewan’s former teammates from Tennessee didn’t let him live it down either, comparing his pitch to 50 Cent’s infamous throw from 2013. However, Lewan remains determined to redeem himself, vowing to do better next time.
In a series of social media posts, Lewan expressed his determination to improve and move past the embarrassing moment. He acknowledged the need to be better and promised redemption in the future.
Known for his skills on the football field, Lewan was a three-time Pro Bowler from 2016 to 2018 during his time with the Titans. Despite this recent blunder on the baseball diamond, he remains focused on overcoming the setback and proving himself once again.
